For several years, we had the privilege of being the clinic that Stumpy and Darcie chose to live in. Stumpy and Darcie were sibling domestic short-hair cats that were dropped off one day. A kind client found them and brought both of them in for us to find a home when Stumpy and Darcie were only 6 weeks old. They were adopted by us as a clinic and spent their lives being loved by us and our clients.
Darcie was a spunky cat who loved to chase leashes and climb into purses that were left unattended. She was especially fond of the surgery room table and would lay across the heating pad whenever Doctor was done with surgeries. She loved to sit out on the benches in the waiting room to watch everything outside. She was in charge and did anything she wanted. Sadly, she passed away at a young age of 8 yrs old due to renal failure. We still miss her and her spunky attitude.

Stumpy was our grumpy old man with a huge appetite for anything. He loved to lay across the counter in front of the computer so he can be the center of attention. He was notorious for sneaking onto the front porch to rip open a bag of W/D food for extra food. He would set all our boarding cats free when he had the chance unless we locked the doors down. As we would take snack breaks in our lounge, he would prop himself up on his chair and reach out his paw for his portion of our snack. If anyone tried to sit in his chair, he would run up and stare at them until they moved or snitch to someone else about their offense. His favorite thing was a warm lap to sleep on. Stumpy loved to help raise any kittens that we were caring for. He loved to cleaned the kitties and adopted them as his own. He raised many kitties who needed some extra guidance. However, kittens weren't the only little critters he raised. He loved baby squirrels too. Although he lived to 16 years old, he also passed away of renal failure. He was a loving cat that we think of often.
